If you’re looking for a retreat un-parreled in its location and calibre of coaches then this retreat is for you.

Your Hosts

Tom Roberson taught his first lesson in 1999 aged 21. He went on to gain a degree in surf science before travelling and working on international surf and yoga retreats. In 2005 he set up Breakers Surf School which has gone on to gain a reputation as one of the most authentic surf schools in Cornwall. Georgie began teaching yoga in 2004 and taught internationally for several years before returning to St. Agnes to start a family with Tom. She now runs classes, workshops and teacher trainings throughout Cornwall. Georgie is also a qualified SUP instructor. One guess where Georgie and Tom met – you guessed it; whilst surfing in St. Agnes!

The Surf

St. Agnes beach, also known as  Trevaunance Cove is the perfect place to learn to surf as it is sheltered from the full power of the Atlantic.  However when you are ready for a challenge or if the waves get too small then St. Agnes is only a few minutes from Chapel Porth or Porthtowan beach.

When it comes to local knowledge and experience in St.Agnes, Breakers surf school is unrivaled. Having such experience and expertise at your fingertips you can be sure to have a surf lesson at the most appropriate spot and on the equipment that best suits your individual needs for the surf lesson.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

We aim to offer at least 2 stand up paddleboarding adventures during your retreat. On our tours we visit hidden caves, waterfalls, tunnels and often say hello to a seal or two. We are also happy to share our favorite spots for wild swimming, coastal walks and any other adventure you fancy.

The Location

St. Agnes is the epitome of a close-knit surfing community. The village itself is a thriving community full of excellent restaurants, busy pubs and inspirational art galleries. And with world renowned surf, it’s no surprise that it has one of the largest surfing communities in the UK

The Yoga

Georgie Fearn is a highly experienced yoga teacher. She has been teaching since 2004 and currently works as an Anusara Certified teacher, one of the most respected qualifications in the industry. She has undertaken countless hours in specialities such as yoga therapy, pre and post natal yoga, pranayama and meditation. She has also been the yoga coach for the junior UK surfing squad and a surfer herself, has depth of knowledge in teaching yoga to surfers.

At least one yoga session will be offered every day on your retreat either on the deck if we have sunshine or in a dedicated indoor yoga space.

Georgie is also happy to offer massage by appointment on your retreat.

Your Accommodation

Quite simply, your home for this week could not be any better. Nestled into the side of the cliff, overlooking Trevaunance Cove, you only need to look out of your window for an early morning surf check. The house is beautifully designed with 5 bedrooms, an open plan living-dining area, a garden with 2 terraces and a 6-seater cedar hot tub to relax in after a hard days surfing.

Example Schedule

Like the ocean, we are fluid with the daily schedule. A timetable of yoga classes and water based activities will be offered each evening for the following day. You can sign up for as much or as little as you like. We have found that this allows us to work with the changing ocean and weather conditions. And it also allows you the space to listen to what you need. Below is an example of a typical days activities:
8.00  1hr Yoga flow class
9.00 Breakfast
11.00 2hr Surf or stand up paddle board
5.30 1.5hr Gentle yoga
7.30pm Evening meal
A hearty breakfast is provided and included in the cost for every day of your stay. We do not provide lunch but are happy to make recommendations for cafes, pubs and restaurants. We provide an evening meal on 4 of the 7 nights of your stay.
