You do not experience the world. You experience your story about the world.

In yoga philosophy, samskaras are the subconscious impressions left by past experiences. They act like smudges on the mirror of our mind, distorting how we view ourselves and the world.

Through yoga practice we begin to clean that mirror.

This is what a #yogateachertrainingcourse is all about - Stepping into the seat of the teacher.

Super proud of Monique for stepping into this seat on month 2. She closed the philosophy session and the whole of Saturday with the most beautiful reflections on the training so far as we lay in shavasana.

We loved it 🙏❤️🧘‍♂️

Contact @shiva_nansledan if you see yourself here next year.

True wisdom isn’t just learned—it is felt. This retreat invites you into the heart of the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra, an ancient masterpiece from the Kashmir Shaivism tradition that treats the human body as a living temple for realization.

This journey is for those who are ready to fully embody these teachings and discover new, vibrant ways of being. While we will study the text deeply with renowned scholar Bill Mahony, our firm emphasis remains on living the philosophy day by day.

Wisdom & Enquiry with @billmahony : Dive into deep self-enquiry, meditation, and the psychological and spiritual frameworks needed to live the teachings out in the modern world.

Movement & Embodiment with @bwkyoga : Experience Anusara asana in the morning, weaving together strength, grace & breath in a joyful yoga class. In the afternoon, shift down into the deeper layers of the body with somatic movement, myofascial release, and guided inner journeying to unravel unconscious holding and restore the nervous system.

The retreat will be supported with 1:1 Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy: A gentle, held space using subtle, non-invasive touch to soothe your nervous system, untangle deep physical tension, and ground you into a felt sense of embodiment.

Someone recently asked what an awake #kundalini lo

Someone recently asked what an awake #kundalini looks like.

In #nondual teachings, there is no difference between the inner and the outer. @igorkufayev writes about this beautifully in his book: Kundalini.

YES, Kundalini can look like:
🐍 Seeing and feeling the snake rising within.
🐍 All sorts of physical and energetic phenomena within the body from the weird to the wonderful to the downright terrifying.
🐍 Awakening experiences where the veil is momentarily dropped.

But Igor also points out that if it is really kundalini, it will not stop until the “I” has completely dissolved.

When I heard this from #adyashanti it really hit home. OMPHH 👊… That moment when you know there is no turning back. That there is no getting out. That you are now powerless to go back to way things were.

That, I think is kundalini.

And she is inexorable.

Whoop whoop for another year of @shivastudio_nansl

Whoop whoop for another year of @shivastudio_nansledan yoga teacher training. And thank you for asking me back ❤️🙏💫

An honour to be part of this open-hearted and wise group of yogis.

This first week we covered a brief history of yogic thought:
📖 The Vedas
📖 The Sramana Movement
📖 Samkhya Philosophy
📖 The Upanishads
📖 Vedanta
📖 Advita-Vedanta
📖 Buddhism
📖 Tantra
📖 Hatha Yoga
📖 Modern Hatha Yoga

But I think more importantly, began our own individual enquiry into WHAT IS YOGA? Both as an action: WHAT IS A YOGA PRACTICE? and as a state of being: WHAT IS THE STATE OF YOGA?

There’s definitely no “right” answer to this and the continual evolution of our answer is perhaps the yoga itself. But if you’d like to share your definition below ⬇️ I would love that 🙏

Very much looking forward to seeing this human aga

Very much looking forward to seeing this human again next year ❤️

As my own practice and outlook has grown, I came to Bill with the idea of creating a container to EMBODY the teachings as much as to learn them.
He gave a giant YES to this.

THIS RETREAT will be offered in service to the knowledge that TRUE WISDOM isn’t just learned—it is felt.

Thank you @circlecranio for another magical 5 days ✨💫🌟

Officially past the half way mark in this 2 year training into the world of #biodynamiccraniosacraltherapy

Meeting parts of myself, parts of human Georgie that I didn’t know were there…
YES we are transcendent
YES we are also embodied
Meeting both of these. At the same time. ❤️

(And a beautiful moment meditating in Exeter Cathedral ⛪️)

Beautiful memory from @tantrailluminated retreat P

Beautiful memory from @tantrailluminated retreat Portugal 2022.
Sent to me by a beautiful friend and perfect timing as I’ve been having a deep dive with it ALL over the last few weeks.

More than half of my life has been searching, seeking, Then there are enough experiences that I know there is nothing outside of this moment to seek.
And yet I still meditate, I still listen to my teachers, I still retreat. I still know that I am not there.
Ever felt like you’ve reached a place where you know that seeking is futile but you still want to know TRUTH?
I ❤️ this explanation from #adyashanti

….

There is not a pursuit of anything. But there is an unfolding of the true Self.
Sit in meditation not as a seeker but in a state of endless discovery.”

Aum 🙏

“If you wish to be a mine of jewels, open the deep

“If you wish to be a mine of jewels, open the deep ocean within your heart.” Rumi

Today, I caught up with @bwkyoga who has been my teacher, friend, and co-creator for 22 years. Sharing tears and laughter as always ❤️.

Honestly, I had been feeling a little stuck with our Greece retreat next year. Something I couldn’t quite name just wasn’t flowing. But today, we met each other in exactly the same space and shared a vision that feels so deeply RIGHT. More details are coming, but expect a retreat that doesn’t just feature philosophy with the gorgeous human that is @billmahony , but practices that truly embody it. Creating a retreat for those who don’t just want to read the book but for those who want to live it. 📖✨

To top off a beautiful day, she also invited me to teach philosophy on an upcoming Anusara teacher training (I said yes, obviously! 🧘‍♀️)

Deep appreciation for every wise woman I have been in presence of this week I don’t need to tag you, you know who you are. Thank you 🙏
