This 100 hour Anusara immersion is an opportunity to dive deeply into the methodology and philosophy of the tradition. It is open to all students and teachers of any style of yoga, the only prerequisite is a minimum of 2 years regular practice. The immersion can be can taken by practitioners wanting to deepen their practice, it is also the first of a 2 stage process of becoming an Anusara yoga teacher. Many students sign up to to immersion unsure if they want to teach, some then choose the path of a student whilst others realise during the process that they are attracted to the path of teaching. Both are welcome on this training.
Bridget Woods Kramer is one of the UK’s leading yoga teachers. Her continued self practice for over 50 years is evident in not only her asana practice but also her very presence. Bridget started teaching in 1988 and has since taught to students of all ages and abilities (including a few celebs along the way!) She is a well known and well loved teacher in both Cornwall and in London where she teaches at Triyoga; in 2012 she was voted as one of the top 5 teachers in London by the Evening Standard. Bridget has a gift for alignment – she is unparalleled in her ability to read each unique body and this is a gift which she shares on this training. Bridget also known for her humour – expect to laugh and not to take yourself too seriously as well.
Georgie commenced her practice in the early 2000s after a trip to India. She has been teaching since 2004. As well teaching Anusara asana classes, Georgie also has a deep love of philosophy. She has an in depth knowledge of non-dual tantra, the philosophical system that sits behind the Anusara practice. She has also studied other traditions such as Buddhism and is a student of Sanskrit.
Past students have always commented on what a magical pairing Bridget and Georgie are. Infact, their resonance is sometimes so intense that Georgie is starting to believe that Bridget is a little bit psychic!
We are so happy to offer this training in Cornwall. To be in one of the most beautiful places in the UK, away from fast-paced life, to be in a place where you can watch or even swim in the ocean after a days training allows everything to drop that little bit deeper.
The training will take place at a new studio at the Old Fish Factory in Falmouth.
If you are local to Cornwall, you will be able to travel to the location each day . If you are travelling from out of county, you will need to arrange your own accomodation (I will be happy to assist in any way that I can.) Due to the current increase in accomodation prices in Cornwall, the most cost-effective form of accommodation will be a shared airbnb; I estimate that on the basis of 5 people sharing, this would be about £680 per person (£38 per night) for the entire training. If you would like to opt for this then please email by 23/12/21 and we can look to book somthing together.
